RADIAL RELIEF
Relief in a radial direction behind the cutting edge along the length of the flute - measured in the plane of
rotation. The relief can be measured by the amount of indicator drop at a given radius in a given amount of angular rotation. The two most common styles of radial relief found in our tools are
Standard Relief , in our general purpose and cobalt tools, and Eccentric Relief in our high performance cutting tools.
