PLATE SAWS
TRACK TRAVERSING SAWING WITH A STATIONARY TABLE
These unique machines are mounted on rails and the entire head moves through the stationary workpiece. This arrangement is the optimum design for producing narrow alloy and tool steel flats, cut from plate. The track-mounted machine features 4 steel wheels which travel on hardened and precision ground steel rails. Track saws are also servo controlled, but here the feed system actuates through the machine's drive rollers to move the sawing head at the designated feed force. This type of plate saw is often used to produce finished pieces 1/4 to 6 in. square. A category of finished steel product that is in very high demand in today's market. Track traversing plate saws use slightly more than half the work area of moving plate saws. An important ad- vantage when work space is a problem.
DoALL has developed several sizes to choose from for this basic track traversing type machine. Regardless of the size selected, the machine is designed with the quality required for this rugged work.
