Effective No. of teeth (ZEFP) The effective No. of teeth (ZEFP) is used to calculate the feed speed (v f ) and the feed per revolution (f). For most of the cutters the effective No. of teeth (ZEFP) is equal to the No. of teeth in the cutter (ZNP), but for some of the cutters ZEFP is less than ZNP.
