Discover a whole new way to file A band machine equipped with a precision file band will take the work out of filing. It will produce a uniformly smooth interior or exterior surface on virtually any kind of metal; and do it much faster and with greater accuracy than is possible with jig filing. Precision file segments are linked together to produce a file band which provides a method for continuous filing. 24

File bands are mounted on the machine in the same man- ner as a saw band. Special file guards are required how- ever, so that the file band will track properly. Individual file segments stay in perfect alignment to provide continuous cutting that is fast and smooth. Because the work is always at a specified angle to the blade, "rocking" will not produce rounded or non-flat surfaces.
