Smoother, cleaner and faster cutting DoALL knife-edge band tools will slice materials like cloth, corrugated board, cellophane, leather, hair, transformer coils, rubber seals, cellu- lose, sponge and cork ... faster than ordinary tooth-type blades. These knife-edge tools are made from a special steel alloy which has long flex-life and holds a precision- ground, razor edge sharpness. Nomi- nal hardness is 50 Re. Scallop-edge is available in hard edge, with a cut- ting edge hardness of 60-62 Re, which can increase band life up to 50 percent. Materials are sliced faster and smoother with these bands than with ordinary, toothed blades, which cut by removing materials. This kerf-cut- ting procedure produces dust and dirt. These knife-edge blades are dust- less, because they part or slice the materials, rather than sawing a kerf. Available in three types: Straight-edge blade Straight-edge provide smooth, knife clean cuts with virtually no kerf loss. They are available in single edge, and in double-edge, moblus loop configurations for longer life and bi-directional cutting action. Scallop-edge band tool •• +:• •• ...,......
