Always check to make sure the tool or machine does not run faster than the maximum operating speed (Max. RPM) of the consumable (disc, wheel, belt) or when applicable, the backup pad accessory. Certain Scotch-Brite ™ Nonwoven Abrasives do not have a speed rating. Therefore, the Max. RPM of the backup pad should be used. Always use proper backup pads with discs. Select a back up pad that is compatible with and the same size as the disc being used.
