SK COLLET SYSTEM DESIGN & BENEFITS
SK Collets are suitable for a wide range of applications, from milling to reaming. Standard collets can be used in coolant thru applications (with coolant back-up screws). Increased Gripping Power The smaller the taper angle is, the better concentricity is obtained. Our steep 8° collet seats deeper in the body of the holder, providing twice more clamping force and twice more precision than traditional 16° ER collets.

LATHE SLEEVES AND TOOLHOLDER BUSHINGS Lyndex-Nikken offers a line of lathe sleeves/bushings in a variety of styles and sizes. All of our lathe sleeves/bushings are manufactured using alloy steel and precision machined and ground concentric. These lathe sleeves/bushings are ideal for reducing the ID of your toolholder to accommodate your different size boring bars.
AVAILABLE TYPES OF BUSHINGS:
Flat Type Bushing These types of bushings are manufactured with a flat for clamping the toolholder and three set screws for clamping a variety of drills, boring bars and other shank tools. Slotted Type Bushing These types of bushings are designed for universal use on all CNC turning machines to adapt a wide variety of boring bars, drills, reamers and shank type tools. Precision machine hardened and ground concentric.

Insert spindle wrench behind collet nut. Align spindle wrench with the wrench flats on the spindle.

After securing spindle wrench in position, apply collet nut wrench onto collet nut.

While holding the spindle wrench firmly, turn the collet nut wrench clockwise to tighten.
